Dr Vidhya Chandran

Vidhya Chandran graduated from medicine at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland with Honours in 2013.  She completed her basic physician training and subsequently gastroenterology training through Lyell McEwin Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in South Australia. She was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2021.

Vidhya subsequently undertook a hepatology fellowship at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 2022, specialising in the management of a wide range of liver diseases including fatty liver disease, viral and autoimmune hepatitis. She has presented at both national and international conferences and has published papers in peer reviewed journals.

In addition to the management of general gastroenterology disorders including bowel cancer screening, iron deficiency and functional gastroenterology disorders, Vidhya has a special interest in chronic liver diseases.

Dr Vidhya Chandran is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at the Mater Adult Public Hospital.
